Wheel Night Out - Potter’s Wheel

Give it a spin!

Looking for something fun and new to try? This one night class is great for a date night, friend hang, family night out or trying something new on your own.​ We supply everything. Only 7 people in the class.

This class includes two hours of instruction where you will be guided through the basic steps of throwing on the potter’s wheel.

You won't have anything to take home because it’s wet clay. If you want your piece or pieces trimmed, bisque and glaze fired for pick-up 3 weeks later, the cost is an additional $10 per piece. (Pay at the end of class to your instructor. Cash or venmo preferred.)

What to wear to class:

• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. We have aprons and the clay will wash out. But, if you’re heading to a fancy dinner after class, you might want to bring a change of clothes.

• Long nails are okay, but will make things a little bit harder!

• Long hair should be pulled back.

• It’s a good idea to remove any rings, watches or bracelets as well.

• No dangly necklaces! Or hoodie strings! As long as they’re tucked away, it’s all good.

Also!! If you’re instructor forgets to ask, please let them know if you’re left handed!

One Time Class Cancellation Policy:

Classes cancelled 7 calendar days or more prior to the class or event will receive a full refund or reschedule.

Cancellations received after this time - but at least 24 hours prior to the class - are not eligible for a refund, but may transfer to a different applicable class date (within 3 months of the original class date) or find a substitute student to take their place.

We will not refund or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice.

Create your own handmade Cauldrons! Add a handle to make it a mug or leave it looking traditional!

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your cauldrons! You’ll receive a basic pre-made shape for your cauldron. Then you’ll customize it by adding flowers, mushrooms, moon phases, astrological signs, pumpkins, letters or words, etc. Keep it traditional or carve out a pattern to make it into a luminary! Possibilities are endless! You’ll have the option to paint or choose a glaze color for them!

Your creations will then be fired in the kiln and we’ll email when they’re ready for pick up in 3 weeks!

Create and paint your own handmade cow or bear!

Highland Cows, Dairy Cows, Brown Bears, Polar Bears, Koala Bears & More!

You get to choose to make a cow or bear. One creation per person.

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your cow or bear! You’ll make the body of your animal from a slab of clay and template. Then we’ll add eyes, noses, ears, and all the other stuff. We’ll also be painting them!

Texture tools and creative ideas will give each one a unique personality!

Your creations will then be fired in the kiln and we’ll email when they’re ready for pick up in 3 weeks!

Create and paint your own noodle bowl! More example pictures coming soon!

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your Noodle Bowl. You’ll start with a flat slab of clay and texture tools. You can personalize it with many other texture, tools, cookie cutters, and letter stamps. You’ll have the option to make holes in the top to hold chopsticks or create a small separate chopstick holder. Lots of room for creativity here! This class is NOT on the potter’s wheel.

Your creations will then be fired in the kiln and available for pick up in 3 weeks.

Create and paint your own handmade garden gnomes! Perfect to display indoors or outdoors!

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your pumpkins! You’ll receive a basic pre-made shape for your pumpkin. Then you’ll customize it by adding in lines where you want them, stems, leaves, vines, spiders, etc. Carve a Jack O’ Lantern face, a simple pattern for light to shine through, or make it into a Pumpkin Fairy House! Possibilities are endless! We’ll also be painting them!

Create and paint your own handmade Funky Chicken, Penguin or Owl!

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your bird! You’ll make the body of your bird from a slab of clay and template. Then we’ll add eyes, beaks, combs, wings and all other funky things. We’ll also be painting them!

Your creations will then be fired in the kiln and we’ll email when they’re ready for pick up in 3 weeks!

Perfect project for Adults, Kids, & Families! (Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult.) This project is not recommended for under 8 years old.

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your very own, one of a kind mug. (This class is NOT on the Potters Wheel.) Mugs will be made by hand from rolled out slabs of clay. Texture tools and creative ideas will give each mug a unique personality! We won’t be painting in this class, to give plenty of time for mug creation! You’ll choose a glaze from our selection to finish off your masterpiece at the end of the class.

We’ll put it through its initial kiln firing, dip it in your selected glaze color, and then fire it again! We’ll email you when it’s ready for pick up in 3 weeks.

Create and paint your own handmade keepsake box! Use for trinkets, keepsakes, jewelry and more.

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your Keepsake Box. You’ll receive a flat piece of clay and a template to cut out the pieces for either a 4 sided box, round, or heart shape. Texture tools and creative ideas will give them a unique look! Then we’ll paint them!

Your creations will then be fired in the kiln and we’ll email when they’re ready for pick up in 3 weeks!

You’ll use slabs of wet clay and a variety of cookie cutters, stamps, textures and colors to create one-of-a-kind flat holiday ornaments AND you get to paint them!

Registration is Required. No more than 14 participants will be allowed for each session.

Ornaments will take 2 weeks after your scheduled class date to be completed and ready for pick up.

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your houses! For this class we will use a speckled brown clay which looks very similar to gingerbread! Extruded hollow squares will already be prepared for you. You will be able to cut an A frame into the square and add the roof in whatever style you’d like. Then we’ll add windows, doors and anything else you can image. We’ll also be painting them!

Texture tools and creative ideas will give each one a unique personality!

Your creations will then be fired in the kiln and we’ll email when they’re ready for pick up in 3 weeks!

Create and paint your own handmade Snowman out of clay!

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your snowman. You’ll start by making a small pinch pot for each section of your snowman. We’ll attach the sections together and then the fun begins! Sculpt and add a hat, carrot nose, buttons, scarves, mittens, corncob pipe, anything you’d like! Give your snowman its own unique personality. Then we'll paint them with fun colors.

Your creations will then be fired in the kiln and available for pick up in 3 weeks.

A brand new class project!! Create your own soup mug with matching sandwich plate out of slabs of clay and texture tools!

$50 per person to make 1 soup mug and 1 plate

Only 12 spots available in each session.

We'll use various hand-building techniques to create your very own, one of a kind soup mug and plate. (This class is NOT on the Potters Wheel.) Items will be made by hand from rolled out slabs of clay. Texture tools and creative ideas will give each mug a unique personality! We won’t be painting in this class, to give plenty of time for mug & plate creation! You’ll choose a glaze from our selection to finish off your masterpieces at the end of the class.

We’ll put it through its initial kiln firing, dip it in your selected glaze color, and then fire it again! We’ll email you when it’s ready for pick up in 3 weeks.

Create and paint your own handmade Trinket Shelf! Perfect for all kinds of knick knacks! Can be freestanding or hang on the wall.

We love to use them for air plants, small succulents, tea lights, crystals, cone incense, and other tiny things!

Cutting out the main back shape first, then adding arches, shelves, or any other embellishments! Texture tools and creative ideas will give each one a unique personality! Then you’ll be able to paint them with fun colors!
